Bambi Fire Fighters Pilot Wing 1st Issue
Usage 1982-2010

Delta, Canada 1982-Current

This wing is named after a bucket that was developed by SDI Industries, which is a Canadian corporation that developed this bucket in 1982. The bucket hangs below a helicopter and picks up water from a river or lake and then is dropped on a fire. SDI Industries is a Canadian corporation that employ U.S. pilots who wear this insignia. Their operation is mainly in the Pacific Northwest part of the United States and the precedent for this usage is that it is very similar to what DHL does and therefore we include them in our book.
